The seven student Academic Decathlon team of Lebanon Trail went to their state competition in El Paso on February 23rd, and continuing into the weekend.

The team did not advance to nationals, but they were still successful. Many medals were won, and, overall, the team even got $7,000 in scholarship money.

Tanay Rishi won a medal in 2nd Overall Honors, Rohan Nagabhirava 5th Overall Honors, and Eric Bau in 1st Overall Scholastic. Joseph Fadhil, Zain Kalson, Brian Peng, and Nitish Harpavat are also on the AcDec team. Five of the seven team members won many other medals from different categories, winning 22 total.
