This weekend the Trail Blazer Marching Band won their first ever first place at the Don Hanna Marching Contest.

After leaving the school at 8:00 AM, the band travelled all the way to the C.H Collins Stadium in Denton, Texas. After their preliminary performance at 10:35 AM, the rest of the band went until finals announcements at 4:30 PM. Only 10 bands go to finals, and LTHS was ranked number one for preliminary performance.

Finals scoring utilizes different judges and is unrelated to to prelims, so the 10 bands that made it performed again, with Lebanon Trail marching at 8:20 PM. Finals awards were scheduled for 8:45 PM, but because of close competition the results were announced minutes later.

At the end of the night it was revealed that Lebanon Trail won first as well as awards for Outstanding Music and Outstanding Visual Performance. After a long day and hard night of competition, the band walked away with their first ever first place victory.
