Starting Strong
Varsity volleyball has been dominant against other teams in the district, starting off undefeated against district opponents. Additionally, varsity Volleyball won second place in the Frisco ISD tournament.
Although varsity Volleyball has started off strong, one game helped the team establish its tone for the rest of the season.
“We came into district with a strong win against Reedy HS,” senior middle blocker/hitter Asia Dorsey said.
With 12 varsity games left, all against district opponents, varsity volleyball looks to set the tone of the season by finishing off strong. Of all the upcoming games, however, one rivalry game stands out as an intense matchup.
“I am most looking forward to playing Liberty HS this year because they are some of our biggest competitors in district as they stand with the same record as us,” Dorsey said.
Overall, varsity Volleyball looks to finish strong before heading into the playoffs.
“Our team goal for the last 12 games of district is to not let the other teams get in our head and underestimate them. We challenge ourselves to stay strong and play our own game and not play down to the other games,” senior defensive specialist Anna Henson said.
