In the entrance of Lebanon Trail, there lies a small room where the brand new medical attendant of the school lies. The recently appointed high school nurse, Christina Salgado, brings not only professional expertise, but also a warm and comforting presence.

Nurse Salgado was intrigued by a high school setting after a long journey of transitions.

“I like the maturity of the students and it is easier to communicate with the older kids and find out what they need,” Salgado said.

Her career background includes her being  “an elementary school nurse for 5 years and a substitute nurse for highschool schools along with a lot of hospital work,” Salgado said.

Salgado loves to do a variety of things and hobbies on the time she is not working.

“I like to read [and] always enjoy the sunsets and love the different colors,” Salgado said. “Also, I like working out and doing yoga.”

Nurse Salgado shared more about her personal life.

“I’m married to the love of my life, and will be 44 years old next month and I live in Frisco,” Salgado said. “I also have 3 awesome kids.”

She also mentioned that her greatest dream in life would be to live “over the water, on a beach where I can hear the water and no one needs me,” Salgado said.

Finishing it off, Nurse Salgado provides advice and gives her two cents to graduating seniors.

“Just relax, life will tend to work itself out, just enjoy the journey,” Salgado said.
