The increasing threat of global warming has been ongoing news in our daily lives, as it has contributed to extreme weather changes in some countries.  Not only does this cause major damage to the architecture of the area, but it affects the population as well. Events like surges of extreme heat, frequent floods, and droughts impact food security, increasing the risk for health issues due to heat stress and weather pattern changes. Rising sea levels threaten coastal communities, and impact the availability and quality of water sources. 

Additionally, climate change results in an increase in overall temperature and more frequent heavy rains and runoff. Another issue is the “bystander effect”, when people perceive climate change as a large, complex issue, but don’t do anything about it. It affects everyone on the planet, and they may feel less personal responsibility to take action, assuming others will handle it, leading to collective inaction despite the severity of the problem; Awareness of the extreme consequences of global warming is such an important factor to keep the earth healthy, allowing us to thrive and live longer lives, while also having a positive impact on the environment. A huge problem that is affecting us recently is the increasing amount of food prices in the economy. Which disrupts local production, causing crop failures, reduced yields, and increased production costs due to extreme weather, water scarcity, and pests. It also disrupts supply chains and shifts growing regions, leading to lower food prices and high prices. 

Some ways to prevent climate change would be to use renewable energy sources like solar and wind power and increase energy efficiency in industries, buildings, and transportation. The promotion of sustainable agriculture and reduction of deforestation has been on par with awareness about global warming. We must continue to utilize technology and individual media platforms to combat this growing issue.
