Tyler, the Creator, is an iconic figure in the music industry. He’s released viral hits such as “See You Again” and “New Magic Wand”. Both of these songs are widely different and explore themes that are unique to his style and unlike any other. These songs solidify his place in the industry as one of the most iconic and creative artists out there.
Tyler’s new album “Chromakopia” has sparked many excitement with existing fans as well as people that recently discovered his music. “Chromakopia” became a huge hit all over social media, starting a profile picture trend and making the preview snippets go viral.
Tyler, the Creator’s album “Chromakopia” is full of variety and creativity. It starts with “St. Chroma,” featuring Daniel Caesar, the most teased track. Then it transitions to “Rah Tah Tah,” which is upbeat and catchy. The transition from “Rah Tah Tah” to the next song “Noid” is something that is done very often in Tyler’s music. He ends “Rah Tah Tah” by repeating the first word in “Noid”. It is hard to describe, but I would highly recommend listening to the album in order to get the full effect of the transitions between songs. Songs like “Darling, I” are slower and emotional, while tracks like “Sticky” are energetic and full of personality, showing the duality of his music.
Tyler isn’t the only one that shines on his album. Many artists like Sexyy Red, GloRillla, Daniel Caesar, and others play a huge part in this album. This shows how Tyler can mix his style with other artists while keeping everything fresh.
Overall,I think this album is great. Not one of his best works because nothing can top the masterpiece of Igor, but I would say it is one of the best albums of the year. It’s hard to mess up an album when you’re Tyler, the Creator.
