The moment I stepped into Lazi Cow I was greeted with a menu stand and a counter in the middle of the store with spaces to sit around it. The walls are covered with murals of cities around the world, accompanied by the cute cow mascot. There are cornhole games around the store allowing kids to play and have fun, although it can get quite loud and crowded sometimes. Definitely not the environment for a sit-down study session, Lazi Cow is a place to hangout with your family and friends.
The menu at Lazi Cow is cute, cozy, and provides a variety of drinks and snacks. It gives you the option to switch out your milk for other alternatives. The drinks can be quite pricey averaging about $6 – $7 with an extra 25 cents if you want the glass cup that you can take home with you. The drinks are what you expect from a Bubble Tea store, ranging from fruit teas to coffee and of course the milk tea. Many could assume that the milk tea includes the boba and other toppings, but it does not. People need to ask for the inclusions if you want to drink bubble tea (with additional costs depending on the toppings).
The first thing I ordered was the Brown Sugar milk tea with 75% sweetness. I ordered it in the glass cup and the design was very cute and reusable. The boba itself was okay, but the milk tea itself was watered down and lacked flavor. Even though I ordered it less sweet, the milk tea was still too sweet in my opinion. I rate it a 2.5/5.
The next thing I ordered was the Fruity Dream fruit tea. It was a lychee blueberry pineapple green tea with lychee and green apple jelly. The tea flavor was way more potent in this drink than the milk tea, but it was still a little watered down. I found it a little too sweet for me, but it was still a refreshing treat. My favorite part was the jellies that gave the tea a unique texture and experience. I would rate it a 3.4/5.
The last drink I ordered was the matcha love drink. Out of all the drinks I ordered, I preferred this one the best. It had a slushy type of texture and was really refreshing. There was a rich matcha flavor that most places don’t have. I still think it was a little too sweet, however, not as much as the other drinks. I rate this a 4/5.
One of the snacks I ordered was Cajun fries. They had a nice crispy crunch, but tasted just like regular fries and lacked a lot of cajun seasoning. Nothing special about these fries, but I do like fries in general, so I’d rate it a 2/5.
The second and last snack I ordered was the taiyaki with nutella filling. It was the best thing I ordered. It wasn’t over cooked and was gooey in the middle and crispy on the outside. The nutella filling added a nice sweetness to the taiyaki. It was just right. I rate it a 5/5. Definitely recommend it if you come here.
Overall, I think Lazi Cow is a unique and great place for you to hang out with your friends and family, but I wouldn’t go beyond that. Most of the drinks are very mediocre and only some of the snacks are good. Given the pricing, the cafe is not catered toward those who are on a tight budget. But all in all, it was a fun experience. In the end, I would rate Lazi Cow overall a 3/5.
