Blue is the New Green and Gold
April of 1970 was the first Autism Awareness Month, and every April since then autism has continued to be recognized. To start it off the month, April 2nd was deemed World Autism Awareness Day, an internationally celebrated day to raise awareness of the cause. To recognize this event, the public is encouraged to wear blue in support of autism. According to the CDC’s latest statistic, one in every 68 children is diagnosed with autism, so let’s all wear blue on Monday, April 2nd to support those with autism!
