Adventures in Art
Art club does many things behind the scenes to bring creativity to Lebanon Trail High School. One of art club’s most recent endeavors involved taping a mural onto a wall in Lebanon Trail.
On Thursday, January 25th, many students came from art club to stick strips of black painter’s tape to the wall in a design. The design was created by one of the students of art club and chosen out of three submitted designs. The design voted on was a picture of a bird sitting on a flowering tree in front of a cloudy, moonlit sky.
Completing the task wasn’t all that easy to pull off, though. As the students put the tape up, it began peeling. While the tape bird looked stunning that night, it had fallen off of the wall by the next morning. Despite the struggles, Friday afternoon provided the art club members to retape the mural onto the wall with a blue, and stickier, painter’s tape.
The product lasted the weekend and can be seen in A hall for as long as the tape remains on the wall. Go see the fantastic work art club has done to make our school more scenic before it’s gone!
