Course Card Choice Changes
For the rest of the week up until Friday, January 12th, students can log in to the Home Access Center (HAC) to make changes on their requested schedule for the upcoming school years. Under the “Classes” tab and then the tab marked “Career Plan” is full access to the requested classes for grades 10th through 12th for freshmen, and 11th through 12th for sophomores. Students can remove and add different classes they need or want to take in the next few years before graduation.
While access to students’ career plans on HAC will close Friday, it isn’t the last time you can request different classes. Students can simply delete the classes they don’t want from their career plan, for there will be opportunities to fill the gaps back in later. However, students may also completely rework their career plan and make decisions on all of their future classes should they wish.
After that time is given to make edits on HAC, students will meet during Trail Blazer Time on Wednesday, January 17th to get information on registration as well as their printed course cards. On Thursday, January 25th, filled out and completed course cards are due to the Counseling Center with a parent or guardian’s signature. That should be the time when all students’ choices for classes are decided, however, students can request a change up until Friday, April 13th.
A full selection of all available classes is accessible on the Frisco ISD website in the Course Catalog. Remember, apart from core classes, certain electives are required for students to complete in order to graduate. Specific credits needed to graduate include a half a credit in speech and health, a credit in fine arts, technology applications, and physical education, and two credits in the same foreign language.
