Band Showing Off at The Showcase
This Tuesday, October 3rd, the LTHS band premiered their show Tech-Tonic on Frisco ISD Band Night at The Star.
Marching season for band students is underway, and many bands in our district are entering competitions. The event acts as preparation for future competition, but it also gives parents and friends a chance to watch the marchers perform.
Frisco has nine high schools, and it will have ten once Memorial High School opens. The marching showcase lets the bands see the competition presented by other schools in the district, and judges give feedback on ways to improve before competition.
The Trail Blazer Band performed second after Frisco High School, who went first. The others schools presented after, ending with Centennial High School.
The band directors used the judges’ advice to give pointers and perfect the show to the best of their ability. On Saturday, October 5th, the band has their first competition at the Little Elm Classic on the Lake, located at the Little Elm ISD Athletic Complex. Parking is free, and admission is 10$ except for children under three.
