With October coming to a close, the Best Buddies Trunk or Treat steadily approaches. This year’s Trunk or Treat will be held on October 30 from 5:30 to 7 pm and will take place in the school’s south parking lot. This event is sure to start off the Halloween festivities with a bang.

President of Best Buddies, Zach Siegel enthusiastically supports the upcoming extravaganza, as well as student attendance. “It’s a really fun way to get into the Halloween spirit; people can bring their friends and family…everyone is going to be there.” Siegel said.

A common occurrence hindering student involvement in events such as this month’s Trunk or Treat often times is the lack of awareness. Whether or not it may be known, this particular occasion is to be filled to bursting with entertainment for all ages, prepared just for the single evening.

“It’s an event in the parking lot where all the clubs are going to have booths, and set up games and activities for everyone…” Siegel said.

Furthermore, with all of the ongoing festivities, it is certain that there must be some particular aspects that make the event worth attending. Some student participants have shared their personal favorites.

“Getting to see everyone having a good time during one of the few occasions where the whole school is able to enjoy an event.” Siegel said.

Junior Best Buddies member Maggie McGrath comments, “For everybody as a community to come out and have fun…and to show off the LTHS community.”

McGrath shares further insight upon the upcoming experience and what it will entail this year, as well as changes since the last event.

“This year it’ll be bigger. We’ll have more people out, including the theater schools we have invited.” McGrath said.

As the festivities have been planned to be larger in scale as well as in attendance, there’s certain to be a lot of preparation involved. McGrath delves into a few of the fine details of organizing this year’s Trunk or Treat.

“Getting all the clubs to set up, organizing logistics with Mr. Duce, advertising….” McGrath said. Much goes into the organization of the event, more so with the enlargement of the festivities. This surely adds to its growing anticipation as it continues to draw nearer.

With the promise of this year’s Trunk or Treat to be larger than the last, all of LTHS’s students most certainly have a great deal to look forward to this coming Wednesday.

All sorts of games and the addition of candy are certain to make the occasion all the sweeter. Take part in this fantastic celebration to kick off this year’s Halloween, a night that will surely be one to remember.
